Associate Professor John Massie![]() Dr John Massie is a paediatric respiratory physician and has been working in the department of Respiratory Medicine at The Royal Children's Hospital since 1999. Dr Massie’s medical training was undertaken at the University of Sydney 1985-1989. He trained in paediatrics at The Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children, Sydney where he received the DCH (1993) and FRACP (1996). He trained in Respiratory Medicine at The New Children’s Hospital, Sydney and The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. He was awarded a PhD from the University of Sydney in 1999. Dr Massie's research interests include newborn screening for CF, community-based carrier screening for CF, genotype-phenotype relationships in childrean with CF, and early infection and eradication of Pseudomonas infection in childern with CF.
