Professor Peter Sly

Professor Sly will assume overall responsibility for the program including overall financial responsibility and ensuring that appropriate funds are distributed to each site. He will ensure the program is run smoothly at both sites and will provide the overall supervision to the entire program. This will involve chairing the management committee, chairing biannual face to face meetings and/or teleconferences of the study team, regularly visiting both sites to ensure that appropriate quality control procedures are in place and that procedures are being conducted in accordance with the relevant standard operating procedures. In addition, Professor Sly, together with Professor Robertson will manage the publication policy developed by AREST CF and act as mediators if required to settle disputes regarding authorship, use of data or other matters that may arise. Professor Sly will also be responsible for the direct supervision of the Study coordinator and senior laboratory scientist (inflammation laboratory) located in Perth. He will also be responsible for maintaining ethics approval for the entire program and specifically on the Perth site.
