The AREST CF and A/Professor Tony Kettle have an established collaboration since 2004 investigating measurements of oxidative stress in children with cystic fibrosis. Currently we are investigation how oxidative stress is related to infections and the clinical status of young children with cystic fibrosis.
Dr Marcus Cooke and the AREST CF are involved in a collaboration investigating the presence of oxidative stress in the urine of children with cystic fibrosis, and relationships to lung damage and infection.
Collaborations between AREST CF and Professor Jonathan Grigg focus on macrophages (cells found in the body that are used to help get rid of an infection). Studies through this collaboration focus on both respiratory and environmental health in young children with cystic fibrosis.
